Activate Windows 8 Product

After installing Windows 8 follow these steps to activate you copy of windows product. In this post I will show you how to activate Windows 8 product. To activate your copy of windows you will need Internet connection and product key which is usually on the back of the pack.

Activate Windows 8 Product

At first open up a command prompt. To do so, hit windows key + R key on the keyboard. This shortcut will open up the Run program.

Now type cmd and click OK button. A command prompt will open.

In the command prompt, type the command slui 3 and hit Enter. Now, windows activation box will appear.

Enter the activation key and click Activate button. It will now connect to Microsoft server to verify the product key.

After few seconds, you will get a thank you message.

If you also get the same message then your copy of windows is successfully activated.
